A London tax practice built for more complicated lives.
We advise individuals and businesses on UK tax, accounting and cross-border issues, with particular expertise in internationally mobile clients and the relationship between the UK and France.
Local roots. Increasingly international work.
Franck Sidon established the Chiswick practice in 2010 to advise private clients and owner-managed businesses across West London.
Over time, the practice developed a substantial international and French-speaking client base. That naturally led to more work involving residence, overseas income and investments, French assets and structures, and businesses operating across borders.
Michael Sidon joined the practice in 2019 and now runs the business, while Franck remains actively involved.
TaxTrends developed alongside the practice as a place where we could explain technical issues properly, publish detailed analysis and build tools that help clients understand tax decisions before acting.
Franck Sidon opens the TaxAssist Accountants practice in Chiswick, serving private clients and small businesses.
Michael Sidon joins, bringing additional tax technical expertise and later taking responsibility for running the business.
The practice combines mainstream tax and accounting work with specialist cross-border advice, TaxTrends research and practical tax planning tools.
The people behind the advice.
Tax is technical, but advice is personal. Franck and Michael combine practical experience, technical tax expertise and a strong interest in using technology to make complex decisions easier to understand.

Cross-border private clients
UK residence, split years, overseas income and gains, non-residence, investments, pensions and internationally mobile individuals.
UK–France tax
French-speaking clients, treaty questions, French investments and assets, assurance-vie, property, succession and businesses operating between both countries.
Businesses & entrepreneurs
Company accounts, corporation tax, payroll, owner remuneration, business structure and practical support for overseas businesses operating in the UK.
Technology-led tax planning
Calculators, trackers and scenario modelling designed to make tax rules more understandable before important decisions are made.
Bilingual is useful. Bicultural tax knowledge is better.
Translation alone does not solve cross-border tax problems. The important part is understanding how two different systems classify, tax and report the same income, asset, structure or transaction.
